Linguistic weirdness:

Check out the homepage of the hotel I'm staying at:
http://www.meliacastilla.com/es/index.html

The graphics say (and the favico icon implies!) Meliã, but the text has Meliá. And indeed as far as I know Spanish doesn't have ã the way Portuguese does. Is Meliã a Portuguese loan word? Is the tilde an acceptable "allophone" alternate version of acute accent for Spanish speakers?
