Went to a few LICS talks this morning, chatted a bit with the aforementioned Dr. Pullum, and ducked out during the lunch break to get a sub at a little place on Pike. On the way back I also found a swank piano store on 4th Ave. a little north of Pine, and I couldn't resist going in and poking around. After spending most of my piano time on my own not-totally-high-end (<$1000) electronic keyboard and beat-up public-use pianos scattered around CMU and Pitt, playing on ~$10,000 grands and ~$5,000 uprights was, let us say, pleasant.
