Like a week ago the word "melismatic" popped into my head while waiting for the bus, and I was like, "Is that even a word? It sounds kind of like a word. I should look it up." I finally got around to looking it up today, and indeed it is a real word. A neat one at that. What's weird is I can't remember reading or hearing it anywhere. I must have barely noticed it somewhere just enough for it to get lodged in my subconscious, and pop out randomly at a later time.
