Here's a fun little guitar pattern I found that reminds me a tiny bit of Iron and Wine's "Cinder and Smoke". At least the intended rhythm is the same; kind of shuffly swung eighths.
 Dm Am C G Dm
 ---1---1---1---0|---0---0---0---0|---0---3---3---1|---1---1---1---1|
 -3---3---3---3--|-1---1---1---1--|-1---1---0---0--|-3---3---3---3--|
 --2---2---2---2-|--2---2---2---2-|--2---2---0---0-|--2---2---2---2-|
 0-------0-------|----2-------2---|----0-------0---|0-------0-------|
 ----0-------0---|0-------0-------|3---------------|----0-------0---|
 ----------------|----------------|--------3-------|----------------|

ETA: Oh, wow, come to think of it "Cinder and Smoke" is a nice easy song itself. Bm-Gmaj7add9-F#m-Gmaj7add9 is lovely as all heck.

Had some dinner at Aliada with akiva and sasha and K, and afterwards saw Herzog's "Aguirre, the Wrath of God" in Socrates park. Enjoyably bleak.
