- If I roll the Vaio back and forth, there is a distinct metallic scraping sound, as if there is a screw loose in its guts. If I similarly pitch it, the noise is less, suggesting there is some, but less, freedom of motion of the item front-to-back than side-to-side. Yawing makes no noise, due to the direction of gravity (i.e. down). Not sure what I am going to do about this. On the one hand, it makes me very sad. On the other hand, who knows, maybe it's supposed to do that? Nothing seems to be going wrong with the machine except for some video jitteriness sometimes when coming back from suspend, and that's probably normal.
- I was about to take my iPod in to the Apple store, since it mysteriously stopped working a few weeks ago. It mysteriously started working again. Oh well.
- AutoHotKey is a nice GPLed Windows utility for rebinding all kinds of key and mouse events to one another.
- Girls practicing for French class in Cyert: so cute. I think I mean at this point more cute in the sense that babies are cute when they are trying, than cute in the romantically appealing sense. When did undergrads get to be so young?
