My office machine now won't turn on. This is the machine I was trying to attach my laptop's hard drive to to get the data off it. Once I pushed the button and the fan whirred a little, and then nothing. After that, pure nothing. There is the slight possibility that I jiggered a power cable or something, but the failure occurred between one boot-up and another during the interval of which I touched nothing in the innards of the machine.
