I am only a little less than halfway through it, but "The Last Samurai", good lord, it is a good book. To forestall the common question, no, it has nothing to do with the Tom Cruise movie of the same name. It is about a mother and her 6-year-old son, and you will fall in love with both of them, unless you have no soul at all. Thanks to the general infection vector of Spoons/lambdacalculus/pepperedjane.

You just made book review critical mass for me. (My tipping point is somewhere between one and four rave reviews, weighted according to how well I know the reviewer.) May I borrow the book when you're finished?

I'm more than happy to see the book loaned out .... I think lambdacalculus has a copy as well.

Nifty, thanks! I'll speed through the rest of my current book and will take either copy of Samurai.

(Oh, and I think we have the same glasses. . .)

Nope, my copy was a long-term loaner from Spoons.

If you want one more person for your mass, my mom (who has great taste in books, actually) also liked it.

Funny! I was wearing them at the anti VD party (and today) ... if they are the same, you have excellent taste. ;)
