I don't know why, but I am really excited by the fact (to which
lambdacalculus indirectly alerted me) that LuLu (an on-demand printing service) now (at least apparently, and since I don't know how long) allows one to completely design the cover of a book, including the spine, and without an annoying LuLu watermark/barcode/whatsit on the back. Not being able to control those final little details was annoying, but no longer.
Dunno what to make, though, since I don't like either of my NaNoWriMo novels much...
Thanks also go to
lincoln3 for helping me through some mysterious WinXP ACL issues. I'm sure glad I have friends like tom and adam who know things about computers. My "computer scientist" nature shows itself to be way more "scientist" (or for that matter "theorist") than "computer" at times.
