I need to seriously consider the possibility that I am a morning person.
On the one hand, I hate actually getting out of bed early in the morning. On the other hand, if I do, I am much more alert and mentally unmuddled and productive. I got a bunch of easy coding done this morning and it's not even 10am yet. The difference between this and trying to work late at night is that the easy coding is actually easy. |

Any Scandinavian blood in your past? I hear they're quite photo-sensitive... during the summertime they had to work long hours in the fields, and it was better to hibernate during the long, dark winters :)
I think I like the mornings because there is no worry that what I'm doing will be interrupted, as everyone else is asleep. I also feel good about being up, which makes me feel happy and, because of that, I'm more productive.

Yeah, despite being a night owl my whole life, i've never managed to completely banish the inherent guilt in waking up a 4 o'clock in the afternoon...
I still remember the day when it used to be easier to work in the middle of the night, becasue there were fewer distractions. These days, morning woork is in | |
