Today in the question-and-answer phase of Rowan Davies' thesis defense, Bob Harper made a bunch of snarky (though some to which I am sympathetic) comments about Java, and at the very end, self-conscious of the fact that he was making statements rather than asking a question, said, "question mark". A good trick! I think I'll remember it for the next time I'm at a conference talk and need to ask a question that isn't :)
