Way back when I was interning at JPRC (before it morphed into WhizBang!) I was in a little office with Huan Chang, who kept raving about this paper by Jon Kleinberg. Just today he (Kleinberg) gave a talk at CMU, where he's visiting for (I think) about a year. shobha told me to blog about it for sheer meta-value, since a lot of his talk was about algorithms for bloganalysis, but I can't think of much else to say.
