Discovery: "Hotel California" is vastly easier to play on the guitar in Bm instead of Am. (Conversely I think it's rather easier to do it in Am on the piano) But I'm actually nearly up to being able to play it at tempo, which is awfully fun. The F#m and Bm barre shapes are pretty reasonable, much easier than F anyway, which comes up a few times during the chorus when playing in Am. I think anything up at the 2nd fret or higher is worlds easier than at the 1st.
