After a chance hearing of "Big Eater" in Tom's van last night as he was giving me a ride home from the NaNoWriMo thing, The Bad Plus is fast on its way to becoming one of my favorite bands. I'm listening to "These are the Vistas" right now, which includes fantastic covers of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Heart of Glass", and the original songs are really cool, really accessible-but-modern-sounding jazz.
