I came in last night around midnight to find someone sleeping on the foldout bed. It turned out to be the new housmate, Andreas, who had just flown in from Frankfurt, so I felt kind of guilty after the fact for waking him up. Anyone have advice about buying a large item (ie a bed) from ikea and getting it home quickly? He needs a real bed asap, and home delivery takes one to three weeks. Like, would all the stuff necessary for a bed fit in an ordinary car, (maybe over a couple trips?) or would it require a minivan, or what?
