Trying to massage my rejected LICS2004 submission so as to resubmit it to LFM tomorrow. Stumblingly trying to overcome the overwhelming fear and dread involved in actually going out and playing the game of being a real live academic. Somehow over my life I seem to have acquired the perniciously dumb-assed gut-level belief that not trying is better than failing. O, Mike Murphy, where are you now to call Stupid Guts on me?

Edited to add: wow, some of the papers from past years' LFMs are really cool. I will have to check out David Basin's work on reflective frameworks, and Ben Pierce's TinkerType system is cute. |
