Puzzlestorm was stressful but fun. We came in 4th by score. Some of the puzzles were a delight to finally solve, and some were revealed to be pure, undiluted ass when time came for the organizers to reveal the answers.

Thinking of far-away friends, wrote a little tune. It is another product of tossing together a bunch of gimmicky little things that I just love hearing: I got started writing it around the initial minor I-to-major IV transition. There's a tritone with a nice streching-up sound in the melody of the 5th bar. Of course the turnaround has the obligatory V7sus4-V7. And the triplets. Oh, the triplets. I love 'em. Even more so in 6/8, I think, where things are already cut in threes.

Oh jeez Boulet, this is what you casually slap together for a 24-hour comic? Come on, now, you're just showing off. (But seriously it is so cute)

I really liked this multiple choice test full of nonsense words that was solveable only on the basis of metagaming the questions. This is not…

So Donald Barthelme apparently is back from the dead and writing craigslist missed connections: http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/mis/3985247459.html
