Went to a party at heather's place. Always fun to chat with heather and tom7. Played "eat poop you cat", which, if you're not familiar with it, is like the bastard child of "pictionary" and "telephone". One player draws a picture. The next player looks at the picture and composes a caption to describe the picture. The next player, looking only at that caption, draws a picture to go with it. The next player, looking only at that picture, composes a caption, and so on.

Being around so many people at once makes me feel so alone, though.

i sometimes had that problem. i am more of a "hang out with a couple people at a time" person myself.

the game sounded really cool though.

Maybe it's the expectation that you are supposed to interact with others? I've had days where I was sick of seeing my apartment walls, so I would go to a coffee shop or the like. Being around others comforted me, even if I was doing the same reading, writing, or drawing that I would have done at home.

Hmm. You are right that it's not just the beings-around-people that matters, but rather the situation. I do like sitting in restaurants or coffeeshops and such. But it's not quite the fact that I'm expected to interact with other people at a party that does it to me, either -- it's something about the way people interact with each other.
