Spent some of today hacking on a little client-side doohickey inspired by a suggetion of adam's to see if I could learn me some javascript. I managed to, but good lord is it irritating. Proof of concept is at

Don't bother trying to click on any of the links --- the only point of them is to have title attributes so that hovering over them gives (some approximation of) an english gloss of a word. I'm sure there is some far cleaner CSSy way of accomplishing that much better, but I don't really care right now.

I think adam's original idea, if I remember correctly, was doing it as a proxy or something. I think that would be The Way, rather than a pure js approach.
