Oh, geez. Of course nobody came to office hours when I actually showed up.

Talked to Frank again, slides went through another iteration.

Since it is so "hip and trendy" (by which I mean "thoroughly dorky so lots of CS majors do it") Japanese is a nice thing to have been peer-pressured into, because I really do like language-learning, and it's fun being in the same boat with other people I know and like anyway.
