Finished "Why People Believe Weird Things". Kind of interesting, but a little unsatisfying, and sloppily argued. Saw bookguy. Picked up "The Catalog of Lost Books", which looks extremely amusing (it quotes Pierre Menard as saying "La verdad, cuya madre es la historia," etc. etc., hah!) "The Mathematical Experience", and a zweisprachiges Wörterbuch.
Ran into
damion in the UC, manning his "answers for 10c" swindlescheme. Alerted him to bookguy's presence. The bastid ran out and found Russell's "A History of Western Philosophy" for $2 and a beautiful old 1930s copy of Hillaire Belloc's "Cautionary Verses". Can't believe I missed them!
Maybe I need to find some food now, or at least soonish. Hmm.
