Oh, man. In this comment I mentioned the page on "Futurist Programming" that I found accidentally. I actually read their "manifesto" and nearly laughed out loud when I saw that it contained the lines

When the text itself is an imitation of the original manifesto of the italian futurists of the beginning of the last century. Lame! Is there really a good reason why we should be teaching people to hack in assembly?
