Played D&D for the first time in a few years, and the first time in any earnestness. I think I played a grand total of twice previously with Pete and his friends. It was pretty fun - a couple of bits dragged a little, but over all I'm really curious what is really going on in the current scenario and the interaction between the characters is amusing. Not that I have hardly any RPG experience, but Carl's style of DMing (and worldbuilding) is comfortably not-totally-hardcore-and-serious, and yet doesn't, like Icarus the sun, approach Paranoia-level chaotic silliness.
