Watched some more of The Americans; it's getting really dark, and at the same time, remaining kind of silly. I think I like it, nonetheless. The overwrought anti-religiousness of the parents reacting to their daughter donating money to a church seems weirdly humorous to me, even as irreligious as I am. I think it's mostly just funny that her (the daughter's) avenue for rebellion is, like, joining squeaky-clean church youth groups and summer camps and such. Oh no the opiate of the masses corrupting the mind of our youths!! Clutch the pearls!!
