Did a bunch of cleaning and cooking today. Tried yet another iteration of bread; think I was a bit too impatient with the rise, and may not have given the yeast enough water to start with? Is that a thing? Ended up ok, but pretty dense.

Tried some chicken-on-pasta. The tomato/cream sauce was boring as shit, and to this day I still don't understand what magic (read: what spice combination) K applies to it that makes it so stupid delicious every time. However! I did enjoy the technique I found on the internet for sorta-poaching the chicken (spice, sear 1m on medium-high heat on each side, 10m on low heat in covered pan, 10m off heat but still in same covered pan) which led to nice tender not-dry white meat.
