Experimenting with different ways of procedurally generating things that look like river valleys:

The basic idea is what I take to be, after cursory skimming of the literature, a standard naive sort of model of river formation. You take a landscape, and a bunch of "water" particles, and on every step you move them downhill, and erode a bit of the landscape where they move.
