I took a plantain
plantain1 border=0
And put it in a pan with some oil, enough to almost cover the plantain slices
and applied fire until deep brown

The result was pretty tasty, but not quite the plátanos maduros I was hoping for. They got nice and crispy on the outside, but the innards were still bright yellow and a little more starchy than sweet. I think I want to let the plantain ripen a bit more.
