I am in the Culver's in Madison near the Fish Hatchery exit of Hwy 12/14. I am being treated to a Double Butter Burger, a weird Christmas-Muzaky version of "Let It Be", and free wireless. The staff is so courteous that they asked me if I got connected okay.

Next agenda item is to go across the parking lot to the music store and pretend like I am very carefully deciding which of their musical instruments I am going to purchase. I have been in pretty serious withdrawal for both piano and guitar the whole vacation long.

I went over to my friend Pete's house for a bit. Pete is the guy who I've known since like 2nd grade. I hadn't seen the rest of his family for a year or two; it was good to catch up with all them. Pete's sister's boyfriend was there, and had a Wii, which, despite my recent icon change, (which I enjoyed stealing from here just for its amusing violence) I hadn't actually played until just today. Wii sports seemed pretty fun. Especially bowling, somewhat boxing, and to a lesser extent golf. There was also "Red Steel" which was hard as shit to do anything useful in.

Sounds like Pete is having his soul substantially crushed by the first year of Harvard Law, but I'm told it gets less soul-crushing in subsequent years.
