Back in pittsburgh at last. Time for a much-needed shower and Veracruz burrito.

On the plane I finished "Egalia's Daughters", which was pretty brilliant. Also over break --- not sure if I mentioned already --- I read "Extremely Close and Incredibly Loud", which was sad but excellent.

Got around to hanging out with grammarnerd. Much fun --- now I have shreds and bits of this one gorgeous Sarah McLachlan song she was playing on the piano stuck in my head, trying to fit with each other all recombinant-DNA-style and not doing too good at it. Going to go have some dinner now and hope the calories make me feel less spacey and tired. One moral of the story perhaps among others is that Learning Stuff About Music From Other Musicians Is Awesome. I mean, Learning Stuff Is Awesome, of course, but I enjoy discovering new special cases.
