I had this simple, pleasant, realistic (in the sense of no flying or monsters or nothin') dream last night. I was in a library, (not any particular one, although it was on CMU campus, I guess --- it was larger than E&S or Hunt) and I came out of the elevator and there were a bunch of underclassmen getting a tour, and there was this one girl apart from the crowd with a green shirt and red hair, and we got to talking and she offered me a ride and instead of taking me home we went to Kazansky's and talked for a while and then I woke up.

Music with iole200 in the morning; and, for the first time, with chrisamaphone (viola) and relaxatorium (guitar) in the afternoon. New people with different music-listening backgrounds always take a bit of getting used to, but I'm optimistic. At the very least I am being exposed to some really nice music, even if I'm somewhat confused as to how to contribute to playing it.

I reckon nothing relaxes a fellow quite like kickin' back and implementin' unification for a spell.

I guess I might have found it irritating at some point in the past, back when it seemed confusing and weird, but now it's like just sitting down at the piano and playing a familiar song.

While sitting in the little by-the-window nook on the 6th floor of Wean, a girl with a giant clipboard wandered by and mumbled something about "...this building is brilliant...". Based on the giant clipboard I asked her if she was some kind of art student, but (and maybe I should have guessed this from the comment) she was architecture, and apparently a friend of _tove's. Wean, much like academia as a whole, is a very small world.
