Any real physicists out there want to give me a kook-gague reading on this theory? I don't mean to be unnecessarily insulting to it if indeed they're talking about legitimate physics, but reintroducing preferred coordinates sounds mighty strange to me.

Looking through his site a little further I have to say, he's the most reasonable-sounding person I've ever seen with such a crazy-sounding theory.

I'm sure everyone is going to see this anyway, but this is totally hilarious:

7. How can I get my hands on a Google Gulp?

This "limited release" beta product is available to anyone who turns in a used Google Gulp bottle cap at any local retailer. If you don't have any Gulp caps, ask a friend to give you one.

8. What if none of my friends have a Gulp cap to give me? Can't you just give Google Gulp to anyone who wants it?

Well, we're thinking about it, but, um, you have to understand that there are many considerations which go into deciding how to distribute --

9. I mean, isn't this whole invite-only thing kind of bogus?

Dude, it's like you've never even heard of viral marketing.

Went to Leaf's thesis defense and Greg Morisett's (the external committee member of Leaf's thesis committee) talk. Both were rather good. Thought I was going to get some work done in the evening. Sort of did; I made some progress getting numerical results for the project for the Kleinberg class. Mathematica's ContourPlot is, however, recalcitrant in doing what I want. Nearing the end of Genius.
