Have been reading Douglas Robinson's "Translation & Taboo", which I got at Hillman in yet another "run around the stacks and take whatever catches my eye" run. Content-wise, it's a steel-tipped boot right to the guts of my most cherished intellectual foundations, and Robinson has style to spare: it's hilariously casual, fun, nudge-nudge wink-wink writing even at the same time it's way over my head, like he's at home in his prim office in the proverbial ivory tower but not above tossing a nerf football around. Great stuff.
