Notes from a Medium-Sized Island

Funny ego-boost today:
A few people approach me, one of them says, "she says you're cool. do you want this food?", pointing to coffee-shop-guy's-ludicrously-hot-girlfriend. I wonder thy they were giving food away. It looked like slices of cheese and fruit, in clear plastic containers, the kind they put deli lunches in when a talk offers free lunches like that. So that's a theory.
