Advisor meeting resulted in a concrete deadline for finishing this damned paper, namely aiming for LICS on Jan 26th. Probably a good thing. I mean, people can write novels in a month, right? I can finish a stupid paper in a month and a half. Yeah.

Talked a lot with Pedro and Alex Nanevsky about grad school and life and things. I'm in some superposition of terrified and reassured, though nothing about my situation has really changed dramatically lately.

Tried on a whim this morning to turn the rhythm changes 'inside-out', having two sections of I-I7-IV-IVm followed by one I-IV-II-V instead of the other way around. I'm actually quite happy with how it turned out.

Other chord progressions stuck in my head, and in my fingers:

G7 Eb7 F7 G7 Eb7 D7 G7 D7 (from a few days ago)

Abm Gb Abm Ebm Db Gb Ebm Eb (found just now)
