Went to the Sal-BBQ. Pretty fun, all told. Good hot dogs.
I became spontaneously really tired and pessimistic and depressed-feeling in the middle of it, for some reason, through no fault of the host nor party-goers. I speculatively blame the fact that I was playing around on Sal's keyboard and played some old tunes that stirred up a bit of emotional mud in the waters of my memory.

Wireless in the house is being a bit sketchy for me, crapping out entirely on the living-room couch. Dunno why. Maybe my card got jostled loose or something?

Up thru chapter 5 in Wheelock's. For extra pain and anguish, I have been attempting to translate the given latin sentences directly into esperanto, thereby exercising my vocabulary in both languages simultaneously. So many cognates!

Now it is time to wander over to squill for no terribly good reason. Maybe I'll get some food and/or buy some more root beer from geagle.

Nice relaxing walk to squill and back. All of Forbes past Murray was without power, so Boston Market psans were nixed. Had a bagel and cranberry juice at Bruegger's, which in the middle of my eating had the audacity to close. Still hungry, got some Mineo's. I hadn't been there for quite some time. It still isn't my favorite pizza around here. It's so rich, I can only eat it occasionally, but it is tasty in a way. Sorrento's (Oakland) and Vesuvius (South Side) are still probably the best thin crust I've had in pgh, and Uno's is the best deep dish I've had anywhere, which is pretty good considering it's a chain.

Got some IBC at geagle, too. Now I'm home again and it's hot and sticky. Bleh.
