Apart from my stomach, which seems to be having issues with the banana and apple juice, I'm feeling distinctly not horrible. The databases exam, for which I had feared the worst, turned out to be manifestly reasonable. I may still have made a lot of mistakes, but I answered every question and felt moderatly confident about most of them. The pessimist is never disappointed!
The summer now begins.
Need to... return Aspects, since it's due today. Never finished it, arg. Save it for another day.
Went to the carnegie science center with breen and sal and adam. I was afraid for a bit it was going to be another instance of oh-I-am-going-along-with-other-people's-plans and it wouldn't really be tat interesting, but I was totally wrong. They've added a bunch of stuff since I was last there was was fun to play with, and it was fun just hanging out with people. I am really just not the kind of person that sings goofy songs in the car, though. I left a dorky message on the "please give us your feedback!" card requesting they add relays to the electronics table (which had only push-button switches, lights, buzzers, and spinny doohickeys --- impossible to make any logic at all!) because that would be so awesome. I remember when I was little we went to this one science museum in Milwaukee and the had a relay or two that you could hook up in weird ways with the nice hermetically-sealed plastic around everything and the little sockets and alligator clips and all. I made a flip-flop. It was TOTALLY AWESOME. I must have sat there for five minutes setting and resetting it, I was so happy.
A word of advice, however: do NOT buy the hot dogs at the concession stand there, they taste like shoe leather. Or at least I imagine that shoe leather should taste at least as good as them. Even without ketchup. Yecch.
