Had dinner with Rntz who had come up from jersey, and then we both went to an event he had found out about, where we played Go with a bunch of other people in some very Williamsburg-y place in Williamsburg. Was pretty nice and relaxing for a social event. People mostly staring silently at boards and talking at a reasonable volume is very much a vibe I can get into. The organizer, David Nolen, was a sort of local programming celebrity kind of dude who had done a bunch of interesting stuff with clojurescript, so it was cool to meet him, too. Apparently it's gonna be some kind of monthly event, so maybe I'll go back.
