Saw "Me and You and Everyone We Know" last night. It was such a perfectly Miranda July-ish movie. I fear admitting to liking her as much as I do, since it seems on the surface so naive and obvious, but it's kind of an expertly executed naive obviousness. There's a tiny brick in my personal Maslowian Hierarchy of Needs Food Pyramid with her name on it. It may be candy-coated, maybe even excessively so, but there's some vital thing in there somewhere that I find very satisfying. |
