A flurry of activity trying to assemble ikea furniture, only to find a couple of parts damanged or defective. The diagonal cross-brace thingies apparently were supposed to have threaded holes for the screws to go in, and they just... weren't threaded. Called ikea customer support and almost instantly after I described the symptom (screws don't screw in) and named the product name, she was like "oh yeah those parts are defective, bring 'em in, we'll give you a replacement". I really would love to see the innards of the ikea customer support UI now, I'm curious how it works.
