A water main broke right outside our apartment, so we didn't have any water for most of the day; but they got it fixed by about 6pm. Also fortunate that I could just jaunt down to old apartment and take a shower there. Not nearly as much of an inconvenience as not having heat in the middle of the winter for days at a time. Flushed out the slightly gross and mildewy washing machine with a little bleach, starting in on the FANTASTIC LUXURY of being able to do laundry in the apartment.
Have to go back to old apartment to let in the real estate agent for a showing tomorrow. Gonna attempt to use TaskRabbit to solve the air-conditioner-is-too-heavy problem, see if that's more money-efficient than the sell-and-rebuy plan, which is a viable alternative. |
