Been watching a bunch of Netflix's "Sense8" lately. A bit heavy-handed sometimes, but a really admirably well-crafted expression of a certain san-francisco-y we're-all-different-but-all-connected-maaaan philosophy. The premise of people being directly psychologically linked is a really satisfying premise to me somehow as a viewer. The corny "oh no we have some New Science-Fiction Words we need to teach you now" is not so great. The thing where they have lots of characters with interesting backstories in their own right which then dance around each other and eventually collide is pretty well done, though. Pushing a lot of the same buttons "Lost" pushed.

Oof edited to add: Minus points for "Homo Sapien" and why on earth do the spanish-speaking characters keep pronouncing the "h" in "Hernando". Am I missing something? Is that ever possible in Spanish?
