I looked up Krispy Kreme in the yellow pages
yesterday and found a place that sells them,
theoretically. Dad and I went over there this
morning and they were entirely sold out except
for one lemon creme-filled. Kmart was also
sold out of car batteries, which sucked. (The
battery on the '93 taurus down here is dying
-- it lasted a bit longer than mine, which
died a couple of winters ago) Dad eventually
got one from Sam's.
My sisters and I tried to go out to dinner at
the Macaroni Grill, but it was really crowded.
We went to Applebee's instead. Mmm, boring food.
Watched a couple of movies on DVD.
The remake of "Planet of the Apes" was okay. It
was funny at least to hear "damn dirty humans"
and "damn them all to hell" coming from the other
side. The twist ending sort of sucks, though.
"Analyze This" was funny. I kept thinking about
Robert De Niro's role in "Ronin" (who really
was the tough-guy that Paul Vitti needed to be)
whenever he broke down.
It's about 1:00am now. New year's eve stuff
wasn't terribly interesting.
I think I made a minor breakthrough with diamond
inference: there's a lot of ''duplicated code''
so to speak between inferring the number of missing
diamonds for injections and for the h part of iteration;
the only real difference is the variable case.
At least I think it works out right from there.
I'll see if it holds up tomorrow morning.
