Beach trip down to the rockaways. Weather was a bit chilly near the end, but it was doing the pleasant partly-cloudy-and-warm thing for a little while. There were a bunch of tiny shellfishy looking critters burrowing into the sand after being washed up by the waves. Not sure exactly what sort of animal does that. Are they straight-up clams in a juvenile phase or something? You may note that I am clearly no marine biologist.
