Movies on the plane: "Wreck-it Ralph", which I liked a lot, because I am a sucker for 3d animated films. The animation was really great, and Sarah Silverman stole the show. There were a lot of cute touches, e.g. the low-framerate exaggerated way that the nicelanders moved, the juxtaposition of completely different visual aesthetics coming from different game genres/cultural k-means-centers, etc. The story was disneyish "be true to yourself, unless you are the actual bad guy of the film, in which case there is no redemption for you" moralizing, but didn't get in the way too much. "Argo". By contrast, pretty fascinating and ridiculous story, all the more because it really happened. But somehow my suspension of disbelief kept being broken by the Houseguests' acting and, not gonna lie, mustaches. Look, look, I know it was the 70s, but in my heart I kept expecting the opening guitar fidget of "Sabotage" to start up like any second. It was just too ridiculous looking. On the other hand, Ben Affleck was fantastic as Keanu Reeves. (7/10)
