Bein' all social and stuff today. Had lunch with Moira and her data science pals, and dinner with Michael Coblenz, who I talked to about life and academia and industry and programming languages and hci and stuff.

Internet in apartment is still not functioning reliably, but I was given a neighboring (empty) apartment's router essid and password. Except it was the wrong password. I was suspicious since it contained 17 hex digits as opposed to the 16 that my original router was configured to require, as well as the replacement (and still not working) router. I asked the rep to repeat the password to me again, and again it had 17 digits and did not work. I noticed it contained two subsequences of a character repeated twice, so I tried replacing a CC with a C and a 77 with a 7 and the latter worked! Score one for educated guesses.
