Been playing with Luis-von-Ahn language learning free website Duolingo lately, generally finding it very cute and addictive. It has some warts, admittedly. For one, the speech synthesis is baffling sometimes. For another, my web translations get marked wrong sometimes when they are definitely totally right, and judging from their translations some of the other translators are moonpeople who clearly no sabe hablar ni Ingles ni Espanõl. I tend to expect the latter problem to get better in proportion to how many people use the site, though. Despite warts, it is fun, and I am refreshing my high school spanish a little without feeling like I have a huge time commitment to a class or anything.

Let me know if you want an invite.
