Watched District 9. I guessed --- but didn't actually expect to be correct about --- the main surprise conceit from the moment the dude got sprayed with The Fluid. Hard to find an allegorical analogue to that, which I guess is good, because a straight-up allegory with nothing else to it can be kind of dull. Don't know what else to say. Pretty solid sci-fi, interesting premise, some plot holes but nothing that drove me absolutely crazy, (although the idea of someone desperate to not be found using a cell phone EVER came very, very close) and the ending was neither too depressing nor too everything-works-out-great.
