Better day at work today. Actually submitted some code for review for the first time!

I found that there is a standard open-source library for getting cross-browser audio to work with javascript in the here-and-now. It does it by failing-over to flash, predictably enough, in the event that HTML5 audio tags don't work. Sadly it seems to have a bit more latency than <audio> though. Updated the thingy to use it. For just a seat of the pants estimate, it feels like about 100ms to me. Anyway, it now bleeps on firefox and chrome for me. _tove, I wonder if you get audio on firefox now?
