Goog holiday party woo! It was in some ways like many parties I've been to before, in that there were some people I knew and lots I didn't, and the music was kinda obnoxiously loud so you had to shout a lot. It was in some ways rather different, for example there was famous art hanging on the walls, and people serving hors d'œuvres. The general level of dressed-uppedness was also quite impressive.

Had a nice time of it generally. A good deal of wandering about lookin' at the arts with copic'n'spoons, because the super-loud music reached less to those corners of the museum. Finally ran into skamille and also susancalvin and both of their gentleman friends. Had a nice "catch-up on the last n years" sort of conversation.
