By the way you guys I am in the middle of Peter Watson's "Ideas" and it is still so good as a narrative even if the places where linguistics enters into the story seem full of rather factually suspect claims. Which maybe should make me wonder about the other bits, too, but I don't really care that much since it's such a good read.
