SIGBOVIK yesterday was awfully fun. You may enjoy tom7's or Nels's summary.

My favorite thing about the event in all three of its incarnations so far is the surprising variety of ridiculousness that it seems to seamlessly include. Neal's talk was just sort of brilliantly strange, Jim McCann and Mary McGlohon's talks were, as usual, excellent parody, like onion articles where the headline and the body are funny, and there were several semi-major software undertakings that strain the limits of human credulity to believe that we all actually have, being the ostensibly serious researchers that we are, so much free time and so little common sense. Congratulations, everybody! In my mind, every paper is Best Paper.
